Alexander R. Reuter received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Legal Studies and Public Policy and in English from Concordia University, Ann Arbor in 2012. While at Concordia University, Mr. Reuter received the Distinguished Scholar Award, was on the Dean’s List, and was named an Academic All-American as a member of the Concordia Cardinals Baseball Team. In 2015, Mr. Reuter earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.

During his time in law school, Mr. Reuter was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship, awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award, was on the Dean’s List, and received three Book Awards for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Contract Law, Trial Practice, and Selected Topics in First Amendment Seminar. Mr. Reuter also participated in the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law’s Criminal Trial Clinic and had the opportunity to represent indigent criminal defendants, which provided him with invaluable experience representing clients in court and negotiating with the City Attorneys.

Prior to joining Myers & Myers, PLLC, Mr. Reuter worked as a legal intern for METIS Sports Management, LLC, where he handled MLB Draft player-analysis and helped prepare transactional documents for professional athletes represented by the agency. As a second year law student, Mr. Reuter worked as a law clerk for Flood Law, PLLC, where he contributed to researching legal issues in the areas of Constitutional law and Criminal Procedure and drafted sentencing memorandums and dispositive motions.

Mr. Reuter has worked as a legal intern and law clerk for the Myers & Myers firm since June, 2013. While working as an intern and law clerk, he has had the opportunity to participate in the process and procedure of complex civil litigation, has drafted residential real estate transactions, and has helped analyze multifaceted commercial transactions. The experience that Mr. Reuter has gained by working closely with the Attorneys at Myers & Myers has provided him with first-hand knowledge of how to formulate and execute the best approaches for achieving favorable results for our clients.

Mr. Reuter was admitted to the Michigan Bar in May, 2016 and has accepted a position to continue working at the Myers & Myers firm as an Associate. His areas of practice include civil and commercial litigation, real estate (transactional and litigation), and appellate law.
